Allendale, often marked on maps as Allendale Town, is a village and civil parish in south west Northumberland, England. It is located within the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
This is a great location for exploring the North Pennines, Hadrian’s Wall, Hexham, Durham and the Lakes, or travel over to the north of Northumberland to sample the heritage coast with miles of unspoilt beaches for a magical day out.
Allendale sits 10 miles south west of Hexham, a small market town with big supermarkets, weekly farmers market, an impressive Abbey, and country park.
